Happy New Year!

Well, here we are again. At the beginning of a new year. The other day I was writing in my "deep thoughts" journal how we always think of things in terms of circles and cycles and such. My life seems a lot like a spiral. I keep doing the same things over and over again -- I just get bigger. May I'm being silly, or maybe thinking of things in terms of circles is silly. I mean, if you were to set off on a journey, would you walk in circles? That would be pretty silly. You would never get anywhere. So, what if instead of thinking of our lives as a big ole circle or a spiral, we thought about it as a journey, where we always want to be pushing on towards our goal? It's like what Paul said in Philippians, "I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Jesus Christ, is calling us." (3:13-14) Sometimes it seems like the circles and the cycles help make things simpler so we can understand what's going on. But, maybe if I were to treat life as a journey I would stop doing the same things over again, and stop making the same mistakes, and actually get somewhere that God is calling me.

So, those are my deep thoughts for now. Take them or leave them for whatever they're worth. I want to talk about how excited I am about this upcoming year now!

As you can see one exciting thing is this super cool Music Player up on the sidebar now. You can listen to and even download the songs just like you could on MySpace or PureVolume, only now you can do it straight from here! Secondly I'd like to point out that the first two songs on the Music Player are going to be on my next album which I hope to finish recording in the next month! This one will be a full length LP with 12 songs on it. I only have three more to record. The most exciting thing about this is that this album will be available to order online, as well as downloaded from iTunes, Yahoo Music, Best Buy, Rhapsody, Napster, MSN Music and more. This has me bouncing off the wall! Anyways, definitely be looking forward to this and also I have this goal to play more shows, because I've only ever had one. And it was awhile back.
